Cowboys and Indians is a 30 x 40 acrylic on canvas inspired by the imagery of an old playing card, reimagined through my modern Western style. One side represents the cowboy, while the mirrored side represents the Native American. Two figures deeply woven into the history, mythology, and visual identity of the American West.
I wanted the playing card composition to make the two feel connected, almost like opposing sides of the same story. Neither image exists without the other, and together they reflect the complicated, intertwined history that shaped the West.

Alexis Frazier
Alexis Frazier is a Tulsa-based artist specializing in acrylic and oil painting. She has loved creating art from a young age and has continually pursued her dream of becoming a full-time artist. Alexis recently launched the Tiny Works of Heart Monthly Print Club, offering collectors a chance to enjoy her work in smaller, signed editions each month.
