This painting is a meeting point between two sides of my work. I wanted to keep the bold, bright, energetic colors that have become such an important part of my style, while bringing a more realistic approach to the subject itself. The cowboy and bucking horse are painted with more detail and realism, while the vibrant turquoise and red background gives the piece a sense of movement, energy, and something unexpected.

I love the idea of taking traditional Western imagery; something that has been painted for generations, and finding a way to make it feel new. This piece allowed me to hold onto the strength and authenticity of the West while pushing color and technique in a more modern direction. It feels like a bridge between where my work began and where it continues to grow.
