The Vast Frontier is a 24 x 48 acrylic on canvas depicting the Vast Bank in downtown Tulsa reimagined within an old Wild West town. Surrounded by wooden storefronts and frontier architecture, the modern building rises from the center of the scene as though it has always belonged there. I wanted this piece to blur the line between Tulsa’s past and present, bringing together the city I know today with the Western history and imagery that continually inspire my work. The bold color, rugged Western setting, and modern Tulsa landmark create a world where two different eras meet; celebrating how far Tulsa has come while still holding onto the spirit of the West that helped shape it.

Alexis Frazier
Alexis Frazier is a Tulsa-based artist specializing in acrylic and oil painting. She has loved creating art from a young age and has continually pursued her dream of becoming a full-time artist. Alexis recently launched the Tiny Works of Heart Monthly Print Club, offering collectors a chance to enjoy her work in smaller, signed editions each month. She is also known for filming time-lapse videos of every piece she paints, allowing others to experience the creative process from the first brushstroke to the final detail.
