Inspired by Woolaroc here in Oklahoma, Where the Bison Roam Free is a tribute to the wild beauty of our state's landscape and the animals that have roamed these lands for centuries.
Woolaroc has always been a special place to me because of the way it preserves the history and spirit of the American West. I wanted this painting to capture the peacefulness of watching bison roam freely across the open landscape, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Through bold contrasts and vibrant colors, I wanted to bring a modern energy to this timeless scene while honoring Oklahoma's rich Western heritage.
